Women Police Constable, Excise Guard Short List

Kerala PSC decided to publish short lists of women police constable and women excise guard (civil excise officer) examination in 2014 December. They will include 8000 candidates each. The physical test will complete in the months of January and February, 2015. The rank lists will publish as soon as possible by PSC after the physical test in 2015 June.

KPSC prepare the police constable rank list for 7 battalions. The main list will contain 4050 candidates. Details of each district's main list as follows,

Trivandrum - 750
Malappuram - 700
Thrissur - 600
Pathanamthitta - 500
Idukky - 500
Ernakulam - 500
Kasaragode - 500



The police constable (women) supplementary list will contain proper number of candidates which is proportional to the number of main list candidates. The probability list of women civil excise officer (excise guard) of 14 districts of Kerala state will contain 4200 candidates. The district wise list will contain 300 candidates. The supplementary list also contains proportional number of candidates.

KPSC decision is that to conduct same exam for both the posts of women police constable and women excise guard. If a candidate passes any one of the two physical tests, she will consider for both the posts. The new rank lists will have the validity of 1 year i.e. till 2016 June.

Kerala PSC Advice Memo

The advice memo for appointment means the process of advising a rank holder who has a rank in the PSC list to a reported vacancy to KPSC. This advising process is according to the KS and SSR - 14 to 17 acts. Before sending the advice memos PSC would estimate the reported vacancies from various departments for a particular posts. If there are 20 vacancies it will make into a unit of 20. From those 20 vacancies 10 will go for OC (open competition) and next 10 for BC (backward class). If the number of vacancies is below 20, 50% of the number will go for the OC candidates and other 50% will be for the reserved candidates. One Time Registration: Doubts and Answers

Kerala PSC introduced One time registration process in 2012. All the candidates can write a PSC examination only after completing the one time registration. After the successful completion of the registration through the PSC website the candidates would get a user ID and pass word. We can make our own password and User ID. By using these one can enter into his profile in the Kerala PSC site and know about the notifications, announcements, probability list, short list ....The candidates can submit their online application for different PSC tests through this profile.
