Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) - Kerala State Civil Service Notification Come Soon

Kerala Administrative Service -KAS is going to become practical. It is the Kerala State Civil Service. The Kerala Government is preparing the rules and regulations of KAS. The government had already published the order that describes the departments under KAS and the qualification to apply for KAS Examination.



The departments under KAS:

  4. Co operation
  5. Industry
  6. Labour
  7. Land Revenue
  8. Municipal Administration
  9. Panchayat
  10. Registration
  11. Rural Development
  12. Scheduled Caste Development
  13. Scheduled Tribe Development
  14. Survey and Land Record
  15. Tourism
  16. Treasuries
  17. General Education (DPI)
Qualification to write KAS test:

To attend the direct recruitment test of KAS the candidate should have to pass any Bachelor's Degree

Age limit to apply for KAS:

21-28 years. The reserved categories will get 3 years relaxation.

The candidates have a complaint about the age bar for KAS. 'The age limit even for IAS is 32 years. But it is for KAS is 28. It will lose this good chance to many of the youth.' They said.

All the hard working excellent candidates who are wishing to attain a good government job by PSC exams can utilize this golden chance. They are expecting the first notification of KAS.

Kerala PSC Advice Memo

The advice memo for appointment means the process of advising a rank holder who has a rank in the PSC list to a reported vacancy to KPSC. This advising process is according to the KS and SSR - 14 to 17 acts. Before sending the advice memos PSC would estimate the reported vacancies from various departments for a particular posts. If there are 20 vacancies it will make into a unit of 20. From those 20 vacancies 10 will go for OC (open competition) and next 10 for BC (backward class). If the number of vacancies is below 20, 50% of the number will go for the OC candidates and other 50% will be for the reserved candidates. One Time Registration: Doubts and Answers

Kerala PSC introduced One time registration process in 2012. All the candidates can write a PSC examination only after completing the one time registration. After the successful completion of the registration through the PSC website the candidates would get a user ID and pass word. We can make our own password and User ID. By using these one can enter into his profile in the Kerala PSC site and know about the notifications, announcements, probability list, short list ....The candidates can submit their online application for different PSC tests through this profile.
